Comfortable Lodging

Come experience true southern hospitality. Relax in clean, comfortable lodging. Enjoy classic, home-grown southern fare.

14,000 square feet with 10 sleeping rooms, 4 Large Mud/Shower rooms, a Great Room with 2 pool tables, shuffleboard, foosball,  two card tables, and two big screen TVs, outdoor fire pit area, and most importantly, Kitchen.

Three meals daily including breakfast before the hunt, lunch, and dinner.  We have a snack area available as well.  All the Southern classics + steak on Saturdays.

We can accommodate large or small groups, including corporations.  We are family-friendly – bring your trusted four-legged hunter partner along (kennels provided).

Who We Are

We have been guiding hunts and serving our guests for two decades.
Popa Duck Lodge is family owned and operated by Dean and Tawana Watson.  It was originally established in 1998 by Tommy and Mary Lou Cunningham. Tommy was a retired Federal Game Warden who spent endless hours on and around the White River Refuge and surrounding areas.

In 2007, Dean and Tawana Watson were afforded the opportunity to purchase the lodge from Tommy and Mary Lou, so they could fully enjoy retirement.

Dean was born and raised on the farm in St. Charles, has always had a passion for duck hunting, and has guided on the Grand Prairie area for 25 years. Dean and our other experienced guides offer a combined total of over 100 years of hunting/guiding expertise and will do what it takes to offer the best outdoor hunting experience possible.

So gather up your buddies, your family and your friends and head on down to Arkansas County!
